Anatolii A. Ischenko is a physicochemist and specializes in molecular structure investigations and physicochemical methods of analysis.
Academic Education and Career
Anatolii A. Ischenko graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1971. In 1974, he defended his candidate thesis at the Department of Physical Chemistry and received his Candidate of Sciences degree. Anatolii A. Ischenko received his Doctor of Sciences degree in 1990, and became a Professor in 1993. Between 1974 and 1998, he worked at the Faculty of Chemistry at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1998, he was offered a post as the Head of the I.P. Alimarin Department of Analytical Chemistry at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies. Anatolii A. Ischenko has been collaborating with the University of Arkansas (USA) since 1992.
Research Interests
– Coherent intramolecular dynamics of photoexcited systems;
– Structure and dynamics of transitional states;
– Physicochemical methods of analysis;
– Development of selective sensors;
– Nanocomposite materials to control the spectral composition of UV light;
– Spectral analysis of nanocomposite materials.
Publications and Academic Advising
Anatolii A. Ischenko has published more than 150 research works. Together with J.D. Ewbank and L. Schafer, he co-authored the monograph “Time-Resolved Electron Diffraction: A Method to Study the Structural and Vibrational Kinetics of Photoexcited Molecules” (Oxford University Press, 1997). He holds 10 patents for inventions.
Anatolii A. Ishchenko co-authored and edited several tutorials, including “Analytical Chemistry” for schools and chemical technology colleges and “Analytical Chemistry” for chemical technology universities (in press, Academia Publishing House). He is a member of the Editorial Board of Tonkie Khimicheskie Tekhnologii [Fine Chemical Technologies].
He has supervised 8 Candidate of Sciences dissertations.
