Abstract
Synthesis of meso-arylsubstituted dipyrromethanes with hydrophobic long chain groups and their application in the synthesis of trans-substituted tetraphenylporphyrins are described. The data lypoporphyrins will be investigated in the structure of modelling lipid membranes
