Academic Education and Career

Elvira T. Krut'ko graduated with honors from the S.M. Kirov Belarusian Technological Institute in 1971, majoring in Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing. She defended her candidate and doctoral dissertations at the same institution. Since 2004, Elvira Krut'ko is a Professor at the Department of Technology of Petrochemical Synthesis and Processing of Composite Materials. She is currently a lecturing Professor at the Department of Polymer Composite Materials of the Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU).

Research Interests

Elvira T. Krut'ko is a creator of technologies for the fabrication of a number of new polyimide fibers and films as well as composite materials, which have been used in the production of microelectronic devices of the OJSC Integral (Belarus) and the Moscow Electric Lamp Plant (Russian Federation) as functional coatings for various purposes.

Elvira T. Krut'ko is a Deputy Chairwoman of the Dissertation Board at BSTU. Since 2014, she has held the post of the Scientific Secretary of the Expert Council for Chemical Sciences of the Higher Certification Commission of the Republic of Belarus. She is a member of the Tonkie Khimicheskie Tekhnologii [Fine Chemical Technologies] journal Editorial Board.

Publications and Academic Advising

Elvira T. Krut'ko has published more than 500 scientific works, including a monograph, 6 textbooks, which received an approval stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and 6 teaching aids. She has 78 patents and copyright certificates for inventions.

Between 2015 and 2018, she received 9 patents for inventions of the Republic of Belarus, published 8 articles, 10 report abstracts for international scientific conferences, 11 report abstracts in the Republic of Belarus, and 2 textbooks.

3 candidate dissertations and 10 master’s dissertations have been defended under her guidance. 

Awards

Elvira T. Krut'ko is a laureate of the Belarus National Academy of Sciences Prize, which was awarded for her work on the synthesis, properties, and application of polyimides. Her awards include the medal For Achievements in Labor (2016), Best inventor of the BSTU Diploma (2017), and Honorary Diploma of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus (2018). Elvira T. Krut'ko was honored a personal salary rise from the President of the Republic of Belarus. She was also awarded the Prize of the Special Fund of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted schoolchildren and students. She received the Excellence in Education badge of the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Education, Honorary Diplomas of the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Education, Honorary Diploma of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Diplomas of the Belarusian State Technological University.
