Carlos A.A. Cardona works at the National University of Colombia (Manizales branch). He is a Professor at the Department of Chemical Technology and the Head of the Research Group on the design of chemical and biochemical processes. He participates in the work of various research teams, including a group studying fruit products and one investigating catalytic and biotechnological chemical processes.

– Evaluation of the methods of production of biofertilizers in the context of biodefinition using strategies of the graph theory;

– Characteristics of Colombian fruit waste for the production of antioxidants;
– Experimental evaluation of biodiesel production by reactive distillation;
– Technical evaluation of microencapsulation of bioactive compounds using coacervation and gelation methods;
– Synthesis and optimization of biodefinition from microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris) using lactose as a raw material.
