Effectiveness of the bacteriochlorin derivatives usage in photodynamic therapy was discussed. Directional chemical modifications, which lead to increasing of stability, improvement of photophysic properties and creation of water-soluble photosensitizers were report.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В настоящем обзоре собраны данные за последние 10-15 лет по синтезу и химической модификации бактериохлорофилла а. Обсуждается эффективность использования бактериохлориновых производных в фотодинамической терапии.
